Shop and inventory

Mornings earn dewdrops; dewdrops buy the room. There is no other way in.

Dewdrops

Dewdrops are the only currency, and they only come from showing up:

They cannot be bought with money, there are no ads to watch for them, and nothing ever takes them away. Retired pieces are refunded in full automatically if the catalogue ever drops one you own.

The shop

The Shop tab shows shelves per category with the price on each card. See all opens a category as a grid, and the chips at the top filter to one. Hiding owned keeps pieces you already have out of the way; tap it to show everything.

The catalogue at the moment: 14 windows, 17 doors, 8 paintings, 12 lamps, 15 sofas, 8 wall colours and 8 floor colours. Most pieces cost between 20 and 50 dewdrops; the patchwork sofa, at 100, is the dearest thing in the shop. Wall colours cost 25 and floor colours 30, and the floor colour also tints the whole app.

Buying a piece

Tapping a card shows the piece in your actual room, with a line about it and your balance. Buy takes the dewdrops at once, no confirmation step; if you are short, the button shakes and the line says how many dewdrops are missing and where they come from.

A bought piece goes straight into the room if that spot is empty. If something already hangs there, the sheet offers Put it in the room or Done, and the piece waits in the chest with a New tag.

The chest

The Inventory tab is the chest: a sheet over the room holding everything you own. Tap or drag the grip to raise it, pull it down to go back to the room. The icons along the top jump to a category, and each section shows its count.

Wall and floor colours

Wall and floor colours are pieces like any other, at 25 and 30 dewdrops, and sit in their own sections of the chest. The starting room is a blush wall, a blush floor, the arched window and the rose door. The floor colour also becomes the background colour of the whole app, so a sage floor makes a sage app.

Free placement

Pieces have fixed spots. There is no dragging furniture around the room, and no plan to add it: the room stays readable at a glance on the widget and in the wake screen, and a swap is a two-tap decision at seven in the morning.
